Do not assume that she who seeks to comfort you now,
lives untroubled among the simple and quiet words that
sometimes do you good. Her life may also have much
sadness and difficulty, that remains far beyond yours.
Were it otherwise, she would never have been able to
find these words.
Rainer Maria Rilke
Like many people, I'm both glued to the news and
horrified by it. My thoughts and feelings have been
thrown out of order, into some kind of disarray that
at times surprises me. We're all being challenged by
world events to see just how deeply our convictions
lie, and how and where we're ready to apply them to
the realities of the world.
For myself, if I'm sure of anything I am sure of this:
the mortal mind, as it is currently and commonly
configured within human consciousness, is inadequate
to the demands of the times in which we live. As
Gandhi said, "The problem with humanity is that it's
not in its right mind." We are being asked by history,
by evolution, by God, to evolve beyond all thoughts of
separation to see the unity of all children of God.
Ultimately we will leave behind as quaint such notions
as "national sovereignty." We will realize that all of
us are One. Or else... No one has a monopoly on human
suffering, and no child is more precious to God than
any other. Only when we have learned to love as God
loves will the world be uplifted to where it naturally
belongs. It's one thing to say that, or to even
believe it. But how do we apply it to such a moment of
world crisis as confronts us now?
A Course in Miracles says that God does not give us
victory in battle; rather, He lifts us above the
battlefield. Our greatest spiritual contribution to
this moment is to remember, in the words of the
Course, that "beyond this world is a world I want."
Beyond this three dimensional reality where the
horrors of war are raging, there is another field of
possibility alive in the Mind of God. Our work as
individuals is to claim that world beyond this one,
with passion and conviction; it is a world in which
Jews and Arabs and Christians -- and everyone else as
well -- are united not through the body but through
the spirit. Close your eyes and see with your Inner
Eye what the newspapers cannot show you. See the light
within every Israeli, the light within every
Palestinian and Lebanese, the light within every human
heart, emerge from the center of their souls and then
merge into One. See this, hold onto the vision, pray
that it become a reality on the face of the earth, and
then surrender it into the hands of God.
What the world needs now is a miracle, and it is
miracles to which we are all entitled. For miracles
occur naturally as expressions of love; they are in
fact the natural order of the world when the mind is
in its natural state. Our task, quite simply, is to
love in a way that we have never loved before. Let us
love even those with whom we do not agree, perhaps
even those whom we might think we hate. Let us love
them not personally, of course, but impersonally. Let
us reach for the Love of God within us, that we might
reach the Love of God within them. Let us all awaken
to a higher truth, that we might be subconscious
awakeners.
Neither Israel nor Lebanon need any of us to fall into
this nightmare with them. What they need is for us to
remain spiritually awake -- to the truth of their
Oneness in the Mind of God. Because all minds are
joined, our being awake will help them all to awaken.
Their souls are making an ultimate sacrifice for each
of us, showing what lies ahead for the world should we
not remember who we truly are.
God bless Lebanon. God bless Israel. God bless every
child of God. And God, please help us to live in
peace. We need a miracle. And we need it now.
Amen.
A dear young woman named Abby recently attended my
Mastery Training in Hawaii, and reported that her
parents had sent her as a birthday present. At the age
of 17, Abby had been hospitalized for an eating
disorder, force- fed daily by loving attendants. She
did not expect she would live long, let alone ever
feed herself again. Now, just four years later, she
was taking charge of her life and opening to receive
love and support from people, life, and God. While
Abbys illness had been painful, she had grown
immensely through facing it. She was mature far beyond
her years, bright, and beautiful.
At the end of the seminar I noticed that Abby had a
tattoo of a forward-pointing arrow on each of her
feet. "What made you get those tattoos?" I asked her.
Abby smiled and answered, "They remind me that I am
always headed in the right direction."
Painful experiences are stepping stones to right
direction. Rather than considering them curses or
crosses to bear, regard them as wake-up calls or
course corrections. While you may have gone through a
difficult ordeal you wish had never happened, the only
thing worse may have been to go on as you were.
A fellow came to my teacher Hilda Charlton and
complained that he had been ripped off by an auto
mechanic. "The guy charged me $500 for poor work and
then refused to remedy it," he explained. "I had a bad
feeling about this mechanic before he started the
work. Now I wish I had listened to it."
Hilda responded, "If I were offering you a week-long
course on following your intuition, and I guaranteed
you that after this course you would be better able to
hear your inner guidance and more willing to follow
it, would you take the class?"
"Why, sure!" answered the fellow without hesitation.
"And if the tuition for the course was $500, would you
pay it?"
"That would be a bargain."
"Then consider yourself lucky," Hilda told him. "You
got the entire course from your mechanic in one day."
Which direction is the right one for you? The one you
are headed in now. Wherever you are, whatever you are
doing, you are in the perfect position to discover
your right next step. No matter what you do, you will
receive feedback from the universe about how what you
are doing matches your true intentions. If it feels
good, you have learned, and if it feels bad, you have
learned. What you do is far less important than what
you learn. Everything you experience leads to waking
up.
Trust is the key. A Course in Miracles tells us that
trust is the bedrock of the spiritual journey. The
Course goes on to explain that "it takes great
learning to understand that all things, events,
encounters and circumstances are helpful." Everything
serves. If you believe that an experience is outside
of the plan for your awakening, it is only because you
have yet to see how this piece fits into the puzzle.
When the time is right, you will recognize the Big
Picture.
A Zen master noted, "Wherever I go, I keep finding
myself." Ultimately, there is nothing else to do. The
world you see is a stage you have constructed with
your thoughts and everyone you meet is an actor you
have hired to play out the script you have written.
And you scribed it in brilliance. Every person and
experience mirrors your beliefs about yourself and
life. Rather than trying to get rid of them, thank
them for the reflection, and move on to rewrite the
script in a way that honors you.
Now before you go out and seek pain to learn, hear
this: Pain happens, but suffering is optional. When
pain comes, make use of the experience, but do not
wallow in it. When you accidentally place your finger
in a flame, it is supposed to hurt just long enough
for you to pull it out. If you think there is value in
keeping it there, you will be a crispy critter. Pain
is a minor element of life, unless you are indulging
it. Then it becomes suffering. Get the message and
then get on with your life, which is far more about
joy than sorrow.
All experiences in life can be sorted into two
categories: (1) Experiences to be enjoyed; and (2)
Experiences to be learned from. There is no slot in
between. Nothing random. Figure out which experiences
fall into which category, and you are well on your way
home.
A character in the film Joe Versus the Volcano uttered
this profound truth: "Almost the whole world is
asleep. Everybody you know, everyone you see, everyone
you talk to. Only a few people are awake and they live
in constant total amazement." If an experience,
painful though it may have been, leaves you closer to
living in constant, total amazement, would it not be a
blessing? If youre not sure, just ask Abby. She has
walked through hell and come out on the other side.
She knows she is headed in the right direction.

The best way to handle good fortune is to do something
positive and useful with it. The best way to handle
misfortune is exactly the same. In fact, a great
response to just about any situation is to do
something positive and valuable. Exactly what that may
be is not always obvious, yet it is most certainly
there, and with commitment and effort you can find it.
When you've made a mistake, find an empowering way
to move forward from it. When you've experienced a
setback, respond with a burst of positive, productive
energy and it will carry you far. When everything is
going your way, that's a great time to really get
creative. Look for how you can build lasting value and
meaning out of the good things that are coming into
your life, and then take the steps necessary to do it.
Whether the situation is filled with fear,
disappointment, joy, excitement, incompetence,
effectiveness or boredom, the best way forward is
always the same. The best way forward is to be
positively useful and to create real value out of
whatever has come your way. In good times or bad, in
circumstances that are easy or challenging, what
matters most is what you do next. And you can always
make that something great.

It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30 a. m., when
an elderly gentleman in his 80's, arrived to have
stitches removed from his thumb.
He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an
appointment at 9:00 am. I took his vital signs and had
him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour
before someone would to able to see him.
I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I
was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate
his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to
one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove
his sutures and redress his wound.
While taking care of his wound, we began to engage in
conversation. I asked him if he had another doctor's
appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry.
The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the
nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife.
I then inquired as to her health. He told me that she
had been there for a while and that she was a victim
of Alzheimer's disease. As we talked, I asked if she
would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that
she no longer knew who he was, that she had not
recognized him in five years now.
I was surprised, and asked him, "And you still go
every morning, even though she doesn't know who you
are?"
He smiled as he patted my hand and said, "She doesn't
know me, but I still know who she is."
I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose
bumps on my arm, and thought, "That is the kind of
love I want in my life."
True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True love
is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be,
and will not be.
Oh, by the way, peace is seeing a sunset and knowing
who to thank. The happiest people don't necessarily
have the best of everything; they just make the best
of everything they have. (Amen to that!)
You understand the game of inclusion relative to some
things.
Pretend that you're standing in front of a cookie
counter, and there are many kinds of cookies there --
just about every kind you've ever heard of is
represented in this magnificent bakery.
When you stand there, inclusion comes natural to you
doesn't it. You say, 'Well I'd like one of those and
I'd like one of those.' You don't say, 'Oh, look at
those icky peanut butter cookies.' You don't say, 'I
worry that those peanut butter cookies are going to
take over the counter.' You don't say, 'We'd better
get rid of those peanut butter cookies because you
know how they spread. If we don't nip it in the bud,
they will take over.'
In other words, you don't play the game of exclusion
when you're talking about cookies, and what we would
like you to understand is it's all about cookies.
You live in a land of contrast because contrast is
essential to decision. But if you will become
includers of what you do want rather than excluders of
what you don't want, you'll purify [not contradict]
your Energy. And when you begin to line up your
Energy, you will be amazed at how fast the Universe
responds to you.
Instant manifestations will become a daily occurrence
for you when you, yourself, are not contradicting your
own vibrational desires."

What he learned of India's spiritual culture amazed
him. Unlike institutional religions that barely
tolerate one another, here was a world view that
encompassed everyone and everything. All living beings
are eternal souls, part and parcel of God, the texts
declared. Our job is to manifest that divinity. This,
the Hindu tradition said, is Sanatana Dharma, the
eternal religion, which dwells in all beings. "Through
Hinduism I feel a better person, " he told a reporter.
"I just get happier and happier."
John, Paul and Ringo were his closest friends, and in
1968 he induced his fellow Beatles and their partners
to join him and his then wife, model Patty Boyd, on a
retreat to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's ashram in
Rishikesh. The Beatles' days in Rishikesh consisted of
a casual breakfast, morning meditation classes until
lunch, leisure time in the afternoons, and sometimes
as many as three more hours of meditation in the
evenings. George and his friends found their creative
energies heightened in the peaceful atmosphere of the
retreat. In Rishikesh, the Beatles composed more than
forty songs. Many were recorded on the White Album,
and others would appear on their final LP, Abbey Road.
They all appreciated their time in India, but it was
George who took away a lasting impression that this
was his real life's work, to go deeper into India's
millennial teachings and realize his eternal
relationship with the Divine.

Could common scents snuff out the superbug? Madeleine
Brindley, Western Mail
Feb 28 2005
RESEARCH conducted at the University of Manchester has
found that three oils usually used in aromatherapy
destroyed MRSA and E.coli bacteria in two minutes
flat.
Scientists are now suggesting that the oils could be
blended into soaps and shampoo which could be used in
hospitals to stop the spread of the superbug or MRSA.
Jacqui Stringer, complementary medicine clinical
leader at Christie Cancer Hospital, who instigated the
research, believes essential oils are so effective
because they are made up of a complex mixture of
chemical compounds which MRSA and other superbug
bacteria find difficult to resist. She is not alone in
this belief.
I believe this research could lead to a very practical
application which would be of enormous benefit to the
NHS and its patients.
MRSA and other hospital- acquired infections kill
about 5,000 patients a year in the UK. Many more
suffer unpleasant complications to the illnesses for
which they were first admitted.
Dr Peter Warn, from the University of Manchester, who
carried out the research, said the essential oils
could be used to create much more pleasant inhalation
therapies - which are likely to have a much higher
success than current treatment, which is only
effective in around 50% of cases.
The present treatment for MRSA involves the unpleasant
application of disinfectant on the affected area.
The resistance to penicillin of certain strains of
bacteria, including the antibiotic-resistant MRSA bug,
has been named as one reason for the growth in
infection, but there is little doubt that this is not
the only reason.
Falls in cleanliness standards have also been blamed
by many within the health professions and external
commentators. The reduction in hospital cleaners in
the past 20 years gives this theory credibility.
But irrespective of why, we need to find a solution,
and wipe out the superbug.
Could aromatherapy essential oils be the essential
ingredient in this fight? After all, the therapeutic
benefits of these oils have been known and harnessed
for about 5,000 years.
The ancient Egyptians recognized their antiseptic
properties and harnessed their potential for medicinal
purposes as well as for embalming their dead, by
slowing down their decomposition.
Aromatic bonfires were lit to cleanse the air from the
14th to the 17th centuries in plague- ravaged Europe.
Doctors wore nosebags of aromatic herbs (including
cinnamon and cloves) to kill germs.
The medicinal action of smells was often associated
with religious rites and magical incantations, and at
first popular healing developed separately in
different parts of the world.
This is known as ethnobotany and one aspect of this is
the study of remedies and drugs, known as
pharmacoethnography.
Recent research has been mostly in tropical regions,
studying drugs used by peoples still living in close
contact with nature and relatively untouched by modern
civilisation.
Modern aromatherapy is primarily associated with the
French chemist Rene Maurice Gattefosse, whose family
owned a perfumery business.
While working in the lab he burnt his hand and plunged
it into a vat of lavender oil.
His burn healed quickly without scarring and he
subsequently discovered the excellent antiseptic
qualities of many other essential oils.
His first book, Aromatherapie, in 1928, was the first
use of the word "aromatherapy".
Modern science is gradually explaining superstitions
and removing errors from popular healing. At the same
time, chemical analysis and biological study are
frequently confirming things which were formerly known
only from experience and which had no rational
explanation. This phenomenon is now reaching
aromatherapy.
In France today, many medical doctors and hospitals
prescribe essential oils as an alternative to
antibiotic treatment, whereas in most countries the
idea of using natural aromatics as a form of medical
treatment is still very radical.
Essential oils are highly concentrated and in the UK
they are usually only used externally by qualified
aromatherapists, combined with massage to provide a
very effective treatment for stress-relief and a host
of other well-documented therapeutic benefits.
With this latest Manchester research, we can not only
prove the centuries-old belief in the benefits of
essential aroma- therapy oils, but also move
positively towards finding a simple but effective
solution to a growing problem in our health service.
It took Kryptonite to subdue Superman in his comic
adventures. Maybe in essential oils we will find the
means to subdue the superbug.
Eleanor Burnham is Liberal Democrat AM for North
Wales. She is a qualified aroma- therapist.

A pair of orthopedic surgeons report that two
essential oils--eucalyptus and tea-tree oil--are
surprisingly effective at treating
methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
infections. Despite the positive findings, though,
others say it is too soon to consider such oils an
alternative to antibiotics. The researchers presented
their findings here at the 69th Annual Meeting of the
American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Eugene
Sherry of the University of Sydney in Australia said
that, applied to the skin of infected wounds an
antibacterial wash derived from Eucalyptus Radiata and
Melaleuca alternifoliabetter known as eucalyptus and
tea-tree oil--can work when modern antibiotics fail.
Essential oils like these are mostly used in
aromatherapy, Sherry noted. He said that he used the
combination "once a day for several months" in a
series of 25 patients with MRSA. "Twenty-two of the
infections resolved completely," Sherry reported. In
19 patients, the infections resolved without the use
of antibiotics, while three patients required
antibiotic treatment, he said. Before Sherry applied
the solution, he removed dead skin and infected tissue
from the wound, a process called debridement. Sixteen
of the infections involved the bone and three had
spread to muscle. In addition, 10 of the patients were
diabetic, which "makes healing of wounds very
difficult," Sherry said in an interview with Reuters
Health. Two years ago, Sherry attended a presentation
about the antibacterial properties of essential oils
and decided to research the subject. He said that he
discovered a wealth of 50-year-old research concerning
essential oils, but said, "all that research was
abandoned when modern science discovered antibiotics."
When Sherry decided to initiate a trial of eucalyptus
and tea-tree oil in MRSA patients, he discovered that
Dr. Patrick H. Warnke, an orthopedic surgeon at the
University of Kiel in Germany, was pursuing a parallel
study. So the two combined their work to produce the
25- patient MRSA study.
Warnke said they are now studying an aerosolized
version of the compound in laboratory studies of
tuberculosis. When they sprayed the compound on
tuberculosis cultures "we wiped out TB, killed it, in
40 minutes. No antibiotic does that," Warnke told
Reuters Health. Both doctors said that they have
received no funding from the makers of the essential
oils, nor do they have financial interests in
companies producing the substances. Dr. Harris
Gellman, professor of medicine at the University of
Miami and a spokesman for the American Academy of
Orthopaedic Surgeons, said the new study is
"interesting and exciting," but the treatment is
nowhere near ready for prime time.
Gellman pointed out that although the results are
positive, the authors have not provided enough
information. For example, he said, the information
about the site of the infection, duration before the
essential oils treatment, and comparison to a
"control" group are all missing from the study. The
bottom line, Gellman said, is that "we don't know if
these patients would have recovered irrespective of
treatment." But even with those caveats, Gellman said
he is pleased that orthopaedic surgeons are "finally
going back" to evaluate traditional therapies for
infection. "Most medicinals come from plants," he
noted, "so the natural progression is to look to more
plants for more treatments."
Vetiver Instead of Ritalin!!! Health e-Tips had an
article about VETIVER as an alternative treatments to
Ritalin.
What is
vetiver? As a grass, vetiver (Vetiveria
zizanioides) is used for its unique ability to grow in
soil that has been degraded and contaminated by heavy
metals. It pulls the heavy metals out of the soil, and
literally rehabilitates it. It is hailed by chemists
as the best method for remedying the contamination by
oil shale disposal piles. As an essential oil, vetiver
is popular for its musky scent and reported calming
effects, and is known in India as The Oil of
Tranquility. Parents of children with ADD/ADHD who
have tried alternative treatments to Ritalin have
noted the calming effect the oil has on their
children.
Note: In the Temple in Haidakhan (and all Haidakhandi
Temples), Vetiver (Khus) is used as the summer oil,
having a 'cooling effect' Ayurvedically.
After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in
the same way again. Bananas contain three natural
sugars -- sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with
fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and
substantial boost of energy. Research has proven that
just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous
90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number
one fruit with the world's leading athletes. But
energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep
fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a
substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making
it a must to add to our daily diet.
Depression: According to a recent survey undertaken by
MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many
felt much better after eating a banana. This is
because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein
that the body converts into serotonin, known to make
you relax, improve your mood and generally make you
feel happier.
PMS: Forget the pills -- eat a banana. The vitamin B6
it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can
affect your mood.
Anemia: High in iron, bananas can stimulate the
production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in
cases of anemia.
Blood Pressure: This unique tropical fruit is
extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it
perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US
Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the
banana industry to make official claims for the
fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure
and stroke.
Brain Power: 200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex)
school were helped through their exams this year by
eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid
to boost their brain power. Research has shown that
the Potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by
making pupils more alert.
Constipation: High in fiber, including bananas in the
diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to
overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
Hangovers: One of the quickest ways of curing a
hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with
honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help
of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels,
while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.
Heartburn: Bananas have a natural antacid effect in
the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating
a banana for soothing relief.
Morning Sickness: Snacking on bananas between meals
helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning
sickness.
Mosquito bites: Before reaching for the insect bite
cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside
of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly
successful at reducing swelling and irritation.
Nerves: Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm
the nervous system.
Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of
Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to
gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps.
Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found
the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure
jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid
panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our
blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate
foods every two hours to keep levels steady.
Ulcers: The banana is used as the dietary food against
intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and
smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten
without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also
neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by
coating the lining of the stomach.
Temperature control: Many other cultures see bananas
as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical
and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In
Thailand, for example, pregnant women eat bananas to
ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): Bananas can help
SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood
enhancer tryptophan.
Smoking & Tobacco Use: Bananas can also help people
trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain,
as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them,
help the body recover from the effects of nicotine
withdrawal.
Stress: Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps
normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and
regulates your body's water balance. When we are
stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing
our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the
help of a high-potassium banana snack.
Strokes: According to research in "The New England
Journal of Medicine, "eating bananas as part of a
regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by
as much as 40%!
Warts: Those keen on natural alternatives swear that
if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of banana
skin and place it on the wart, with the yellow side
out. Carefully hold the skin in place with a plaster
or surgical tape!
So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills.
When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the
protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the
phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and
twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich
in potassium and is one of the best value foods
around. So, maybe its time to change that well-known
phrase so that we say, "A banana a day keeps the
doctor away!"
PS: Bananas must be the reason monkeys appear to be so
happy all the time! I will add one here; want a quick
shine on our shoes?? Take the INSIDE of the banana
skin, and rub directly on the shoe...polish with dry
cloth. Amazing fruit.
This is interesting. The ONLY thing is, however, is
that because of the "sugar/ carbohydrate" content,
bananas have a HIGH glycemic indicator (GI), meaning
they raise your blood sugar level very quickly, not
necessarily a good thing as we're trying to keep blood
sugar levels even - so have to be careful not to eat
too many or too often and especially don't eat them
alone. However, personally, I'd rather see someone eat
a banana than all kinds of other, non-nutritional
foods. Apples ARE extremely good because of the LOW
glycemic level and the fiber. (You might want to check
out Dr. Nicholas Perricone (do search on the Internet)
regarding high/low glycemic foods and health issues.)
Here are some concepts we can all participate in to
better our environments... but first:
Did you know...
If every household in the US replaced an incandescent
bulb with a compact florescent light (CFLs) it would
be the equivalent of eliminating the pollution from
one million cars. CFLs use less energy than
incandescent and therefore pollute less.
If every American took their own grocery bag when
shopping and refused to use plastic bags, the world
would save 12,000,000 barrels of oil each year.
100 million trees are ground up each year to supply us
with catalogues and junk mail. Take yourself off all
unwanted junk mail lists.
Styrofoam cups can remain in a landfill for an
estimated 500 years. Drink from a reusable, washable
mug.
An open faucet wastes five gallons of water every two
minutes. Turn the water off while brushing your teeth
and shaving.
These are just a few ideas that, if we employ, can
make a significant difference in the ecological
balance of our delicate Mother Earth.
Shirley Maclaines Newsletter Jan. 2005
Dear Ones,
There was a rather aggressive inquiry that
was made with regard to the passing of Master Teacher
Jim Dvorak. The person took offense that I did not say
he died. And in retrospect his question may be a
question some of you may have. This is the response I
sent to him:
I used the word "transitioned" because both Mary
and Jim were not ordinary beings. They did not
fragment as ordinary people do when they leave or die
if you prefer that word. They also did not need to
stay in the bardo for the length of time that ordinary
beings stay there to be processed before they get
recycled to the earth plane, because they weren't
coming back here.
They maintained all of their consciousness when
they landed on New Earth Heaven and they arrived in
adult bodies. They did not have to go thru the birth
canal, as they are now free of samsara.
And lastly, I have daily communication with them,
so to say they died would be incorrect. There are many
choices we may make in life and death and it is a good
idea to become familiar with them so we can really be
at Choice.

DANCING WITH DEATH THRU SENILITY INTO ETERNALITY
by Young Toni Delgado
We have been conditioned to believe that senility is a
frightful place because we believe it is the end of
our productivity as a being. We believe it is the
experience that precedes death and we are loathesome
to it. Senility can come to an individual at any time
in their lives. It does not just occur to the elderly.
It can happen in your thirties or younger.
What is important to know is that it absolutely can be
overcome! I have done it! Leonard Orr and Sondra Ray
and others have done it. Leonard says that senility is
the final exam of the human condition. That sounds and
feels right. You must however, have the tools and
psychological preparation to outlast it. Read my book
and learn how.
