I wish everyone in this country, as well as all in
this world, all the best. Nowadays humanism has been
completely killed. Human beings have become like
animals. I want to bring back humanism into the soul
of every person. Because of the lack of human
spirit, every individual is in tension and fear. I
want to relieve everyone from this state. Ages ago,
sages formed the following mantra:
Sarve Bhavantu Sukhina
Sarve Santu Niraamayaa
Sarve Bhadraani Pashyantu
Maa Kasbchid Dhukhbhag Bhavet.
May all be happy
May all be free from disease
May all realize what is good
May none be subject to misery.
But in all these Ages, under the guise of bringing
peace and happiness, only wars took place - like those
in the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. These wars only
left millions of women and children in grief. Now I
want to bring happiness to every living being by
reforming the hearts of all individuals. Only by this
process can the dream of the sages who formed the
mantra come true. For this purpose, the only path is
Karma Yoga. Only Karma Yoga can bring satisfaction and
good fruits of action. With this, happiness will
automatically come into the hearts of the people.
Hence, all of you should work hard and follow the path
of Karma Yoga.
When I tried to turn everyone around me into a
Buddhist, they all went crazy.
When I acted like the Buddha, everyone loved me.

Marge DeVivo)
MY FATHERS HAT
by Mark Irwin
Sunday mornings I would reach
high into his dark closet while standing
on a chair and tiptoeing reach
higher, touching, sometimes fumbling
the soft crowns and imagine
I was in a forest, wind hymning
through pines, where the musky scent
of rain clinging to damp earth was
his scent I loved, lingering on
bands, leather, and on the inner silk
crowns where I would smell his
hair and almost think I was being
held, or climbing a tree, touching
the yellow fruit, leaves whose scent
was that of a clove in the godsome
air, as now, thinking of his fabulous
sleep, I stand on this canyon floor
and watch light slowly close
on water I'm not sure is there.
Goddess Father One bless the sweet memory of my
father, 55 in stature, wearing his sports jacket and
dapper hat, out mowing the lawn on his riding lawn
mower, the many times he did this. Bless him now as he
makes his new life, in a new body, in a new family.
Bless all fathers with and without hats and their
fierce love for their families.

becoming what you are in reality: a same Fraternity."

God said:
Beloveds, dont worry so much about all you have to
do. Be gentle with yourself. You are the one who
pressures yourself. Even if a hundred people put
pressure on you, you are the one who accepts the
pressure and assumes a role that is not yours.
Pressure is not yours. Pressure keeps you down. It
doesnt help you forge ahead. Have pleasure rather
than pressure. Have peace. Hold hands with yourself.
Lie down on a hill, look up at the sky, and chew
grass for a while. Or let it be a rainy day where you
sit in a chair and read a book. What is wrong exactly
with your relaxing? Who said you have to huff and puff
all the time? You are not a train engine. Of course,
there isnt anything you cant accomplish, so then,
accomplish relaxation. Breathe, beloveds.
May you be an oasis. Be liquid. Shade yourself with
palm trees. Welcome the caravans of life. Do you like
the image of yourself as an oasis more than the image
of yourself as a chugging train?
Or be the still water of a bubbling brook. Or be the
shores of the brook. Be a haven for yourself.
Who told you to be a taskmaster? Or a martinet?
If you are a drummer, you dont have to beat the drums
all the time. Remember there is silence between beats.
Remember the silence.
When life in the world gets too much for you, laugh.
What else is there really to do? You can feel frazzled
if you want, but why would you want to? Laugh instead.
Form a smile. Be a kind counterpart to yourself.
Nurture yourself. Soothe your brow.
Even if you are in a barrel rolling down Niagara
Falls, agitation is to be let go of. Even in the
middle of tumult, you do not have to be tumultuous.
Carry peace with you. Its there. Imagine applying a
balm of peace to your skin as you would sun cream at
the beach. Treat yourself to a spa within your mind.
It is there. Find it now.
Harbor the thought: Peace be with you. Let peace be a
refrain that goes through your mind like a ditty that
wont stop playing itself over and over in your head.
Peace is with you. It is within you. Sort out your
thoughts. Dispel the other ones. Keep peace. Spread a
divan for it. Strew flowers. Rent your mind to peace.
Write a lease. Let peace be your byword.
Let agitation and aggravation go where old thoughts
go. Put them out to pasture. Picture them as old nags
in a corral, and walk away from the corral. Ride out
on the plain on a white horse of peace.
Imagine a round up of all the other steeds of peace.
Imagine yourself as a student who is free to take only
the courses he wants.
Imagine yourself as a teacher who teaches only Truth,
and you will teach love, and you will teach peace by
your frame of mind.
Picture yourself on a picture post card. Send
greetings to yourself.
Imagine your life as delicious ice cream going down
your throat.
Imagine yourself swimming in calm waters.
Imagine yourself ambling through life with Me at your
side. Then you will imagine Truth, for I am by your
side. Let Me take franticness and frenzy away from
you. Let Me give you a cup of cooling water. Let Me
lead you by still waters and green pastures. Let Me
shine the sunlight on you. Beloveds, listen to the
rustling leaves in the trees and the birds who sing in
the trees and the breeze that stirs the trees ever so
gently, and imagine that you and I are One.

Beloveds, Karma Yoga and Relaxation are not
antithetical
they are ingredients for a Balanced Life.
Do Karma Yoga (all action, work, process) as an
offering to God Goddess. Repeat Om Namaha Shivaya as
you do this and your work-action will be a form of
worship to the Divine. It will make you happy and the
tasks will not feel hard or feel like a burden. Also
take time to relax and rest, to breathe and be free of
thought. Let down, let go. Harmonize and Align with
All That Feels Good In Life. Relaxation is the
strongest medicine for Healing, Well Being and The
Good Life.

I affirm that right action and right activities are
now established in my daily life. Every moment in my
life is filled with that which is for my greatest
good. The right people from the four corners of the
Earth are now drawn to me as we work together
harmoniously and prosperously for the good of all
concerned.
All obstacles, barriers and delays are permanently
removed from my vibration. Great doors are now open to
me for my highest and greatest good and I am received
with love by everyone. I give of my time and talents
lovingly and I am abundantly repaid for my services.
That which I desire is mine now (name it) and I accept
all the good the universe has for me with gratitude.
I now draw from the storehouse of plenty, for the
universe is unlimited and therefore,
I am unlimited. I accept the idea that I am unlimited
and I now allow myself to receive more and more daily
than I have ever accepted before.
I have plenty of good, plenty of money to spare and
share. My purse, my billfold, my checking and savings
account always show an over-abundance of money. I am
truly blessed in all events entering my life.
So mote it be!

"In movement there is life, and in change there is
power."
- Alan Cohen
Children need to be validated during six different
emotional stages of their life. Knowing these six
stages and what children need to hear during them will
help parents be more successful in raising children
that become emotionally healthy adults.
As parents we have a sacred stewardship to provide
for our children's physical, emotional, mental and
spiritual developmental needs.
Children come into the world needing their parents
to affirm and validate their worth. When this does not
happen, we grow into adults who create codependent
relationships in an effort to make others affirm and
validate us.
As a parent use the following affirmations with your
own children to send them messages of validation
during the different stages of their growing years.
If your children have grown out of some of these
stages, it is still not too late. Our child energies
are always a part of us. Even if you have adult
children, ask God to manifest opportunities for you to
speak these messages to your children. They will feel
the love you have for them as their parent and greater
love will be shared between you.

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember:
Amateurs built the ark.
Professionals built the Titanic
In his new book Wisdom for the New Millennium, His
Holiness, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar describes four pillars
of knowledge and six types of wealth.
The final chapter discusses the four pillars. The
first is viveka. Though 'grossly translated as
discrimination' this is more: it is "the understanding
or observation that everything is changing." Changes,
not only the prices of shares that keep ticking on the
screen, but also in your thoughts and emotions. For
instance, "You cannot maintain the same degree of
sadness every day all the time... You can never be
unhappy for the same reason continuously." How does it
help to know that everything changes? "The moment you
see that things are changing, simultaneously you start
seeing that the one who is observing the change is not
changing." The reference point of change is
non-change, explains the Shankar.
The second pillar is vairagya, dispassion. Which is
not the same as apathy, or being unenthusiastic,
depressed, or not being interested in anything.
"Dispassion is a lack of feverishness," be it in what
you desire, hope or aspire for.
Then comes the third pillar, which includes the six
wealths: shama, dama, uparati, titiksha, shraddha and
samadhana. The first wealth, shama, means tranquillity
of the mind."When the mind wants to do too many
things, it gets completely scattered." With shama, you
can focus your mind and be more alert, counsels
Shankar.
Dama is about having a say over your senses;
essential, because many times you don't want to do
something, yet you do! With dama, your senses don't
drag you; instead, "you will say 'yes' or 'no' to the
senses."
The third wealth, titiksha is 'endurance or
forbearance.' When difficult things come, forbearance
allows you to go on without getting completely shaken
and shattered, guides Shankar. Opposites such as
health-sickness, losses-gains... come and go; armed
with titiksha, however, you aren't deterred by
whatever happens. "Often, whatever is unpleasant can
become pleasant later on. These are the changes that
go on in life... The ability to not get carried away
by the events, the judgments, is titiksha."
The fourth wealth, uparati, means rejoicing in your
own nature. How? By not doing things because someone
else says or does something, by not labouring hard to
win approval, or keeping up with the Joneses. "Being
in the present moment, being in the joy that you are,
the ability to rejoice in anything that you do, that
is uparati."
Faith or shraddha is the fifth wealth. "Faith is
needed when you have found the limit of your
knowing... Your willingness to know the unknown is
shraddha." It would be fanaticism to think there is
nothing beyond. Absence of faith is doubt -- in
yourself, others, or the whole. "Ninety nine per cent
of people doubt the whole, because they do not believe
that there is a whole that is functioning."
The sixth wealth, samadhana, is being at ease, being
content. "Being at ease with everything, the whole
existence... a great wealth by itself."
These six wealths together form the third pillar, he
says, before moving on to the fourth pillar,
mumukshatva -- "the desire for the highest, a desire
for total freedom, for enlightenment."
LOGIC
In ancient Greece, Socrates was approached by an
acquaintance, who asked the great philosopher,
"Socrates, do you know what I just heard about your
closest friend?"
"Wait a moment," Socrates replied. "Before telling me
anything I'd like you to pass a little test. It's
called the Triple Filter Test."
"Triple filter?"
"That's right," Socrates continued. "Before you talk
to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take
a moment and filter what you're going to say.
The first filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely
sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"
"No," the man said. "Actually I just heard about it
and..."
"All right," said Socrates. "So you don't really know
whether it's true or not. Now let's try the second
filter, the filter of Goodness. Is what you are about
to tell me about my friend something good?"
"No. On the contrary..."
"So," Socrates continued, "you want to tell me
something bad about him, but you're not certain it's
true. You may still pass the test though, because
there's one filter left: the filter of Usefulness. Is
what you want to tell me about my friend going to be
useful to me?"
"No, not really."
"Well," concluded Socrates, "if what you want to tell
me is neither true nor good nor even useful, why tell
it to me at all?"
This is why Socrates was a great philosopher and held
in such high esteem.
