“Albert Einstein was fasinated by Mohandas Gandhi. He
watched newsreel after newsreel of Gandhi's doings in
India. having seen Gandhi greet people in the street
with his hands placed together, as if in prayer, and
with a bow, he wondered what Gandhi was saying
(newsreels had no sound in those days). Einstein wrote
Gandhi and asked him what he was saying. The simple
reply: "Namaste." Einstein then wrote again to ask the
meaning of this hindu word, "Namaste", and the reply
was: "I honor the place in you where the entire
universe resides. I honor the place in you of light,
love, truth, peace and wisdom. I honor the place in
you where, when you are in that place, and I am in
that place, there is only one of us."

In the name of Lord Rama, PHURO! Be inspired! You all
have to go forward. You can only progress through
Karma - action. You all have to perform "Sat-Karmas -
good, merciful, charitable actions." "Akarma"
(inaction) is the worst thing in this world. If you
want to live a true life, you have to be active and
hardworking. You can become an emperor of this world
by hard work. Victory is yours by hard work.
All you monkeys and bears! Lord Rama conquered Lanka
with the help of hardworking monkeys. You monkeys!
Only wagging your tails won't be enough! You will have
to do something practical, something useful. Babaji
says you must work hard and put things into practice.
Teach these things to others, too. First, be inspired
yourselves; then inspire others with this message of
Karma.
"Ishvarovacha" - Lord Ishwara (i.e. God) tells you:
"PHURO! Be inspired!"
What you just read were full, potent mantras.

Forget "fight or flight" as the only duo of responses
in the face of stress. For women, there's a third
response: "befriend". A landmark UCLA study turned
five decades of stress research on its head with the
revelation that a cascade of brain chemicals gives
women a larger behavioral repertoire when confronted
with stress. The hormone oxytocin is released as part
of the stress response in women. It controls the
fight/flight response and, instead, encourages her to
tend children and gather with other women.
Accordingly to co-researcher Dr. Laura Cousino Klein,
now assistant professor of bio-behavioral health at
Penn State, the study suggests that this "tending and
befriending" response to oxytocin produces a calming
effect. Although it will take new studies to reveal
all the ways in which oxytocin encourages women to
care for children and band together, it might also
explain why women consistently outlive men.
I have addressed numerous women's conferences and
corporate networks of women and I can attest to the
observable behavior that participants leave these
sessions feeling stronger, encouraged, and positive. I
believe they also leave healthier. The famed Nurses
Health Study from Harvard Medical School found that
the more friends people have, the less likely they are
to develop physical ailments and the more likely they
are to cope better with challenges.
Sadly, today's busy agendas often find women canceling
the most positive and healthy thing they can do:
gather with other women to engage in the kind of
"rapport" and "report" talk that hallmark feminine
conversations. The corporate women's networks that
generate the most return for the time and money
investment allow for the nuts-and-bolts training
needed for the business while also creating plenty of
opportunity for mentoring, problem-solving and the
informal sharing of personal issues.
Create a gathering of women and stand back. The energy
reborn from conversation, caring, compassion and
concern can move a community, a business, and a nation
into a higher place.

If you’d like to fulfill your long-held dreams, try a
radical approach. Radical people create their own
breakthroughs for getting the job, love and health
they really want. Nonconformists open to options for
achieving "extraordinary" goals that others don’t see.
Take Christopher Columbus. When conventional wisdom
proclaimed as fact the world was flat, Columbus held
the extreme notion that he could sail over the edge
and land in China instead of deep space.
Discovering Fresh Options
Five centuries ago, Europeans reacted with disbelief
when they heard that the world is round. If Columbus
were to sail into our modern lives with revolutionary
factual information about our world, would
"enlightened" people believe him now?
Besides demonstrating that the earth is round,
Columbus made another equally mind-popping discovery.
His revelation is about the power of cultural belief
systems and how people see only what they believe they
will see.
You See What You Believe
In 1492, Columbus landed on the island of Hispaniola,
now the countries of Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Until Columbus’ arrival, the islanders had only seen
and heard of small boats—like their canoes. The tribe
had never seen nor heard of large ocean-going sea
craft. So when the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria
arrived, the natives couldn’t see the big ships of
Christopher Columbus! And the vessels were floating in
plain sight right off shore!
"I Don’t See Any Big Ships!"
Why couldn’t the islanders see the big boats? Because
nobody in their culture had ever seen big boats
before. And nobody had ever written or talked about
big boats in their society.
In any culture, the mythmakers—teachers, historians
and media—decide people’s reality. The specific world
that mythmakers talk and write about determines the
aspects of reality that people are able to perceive.
The world that these storytellers talk and write about
creates a belief system unique to each culture. And
this belief system acts as a filter, screening out
realities that don’t fit into the cultural
conditioning of the society.
The mythkeepers who shaped the islanders’ belief
systems didn’t recognize the possibility that large
ships might exist. And the filter of this belief
prevented the natives from seeing the three large sea
vessels. … At first!
3 Keys for Unlocking New Possibilities
The island shaman wasn’t able to see the ships when
they first arrived. Like his tribespeople, the shaman
medicine man wasn’t able to see past the filters of
his cultural conditioning. But unlike the common folk
of his tribe, the medicine man was educated by radical
mythmakers—shaman elders. From these elders, the
shaman learned that a person only sees the elements in
the world that the person’s mind has been exposed to.
The shaman also learned these 3 keys to help him see
outside of his belief system—to perceive the world as
it really exists.
Key 1 - Look for a Different Pattern
The 1st key, made famous in the movie Star Wars, is to
notice "a disturbance in the force."
Anchored just offshore, Columbus’ ships are creating
out-of-the-ordinary patterns in the ocean waves. Even
though he can’t see the ships, the observant shaman
does notice unexplained variations in the waves.
Key 2 - Don’t Listen to Your Mind!
Curious, the shaman investigates the unusual wave
patterns. As he begins his inquiry, he uses the 2nd
key: "Don’t trust your mind!"
The 2nd key alerts the shaman to the limitations of
his ego-mind. The shaman understands that his mind
only perceives realities that his mind has been
exposed to by his culture.
Key 3 - Open to New Possibilities
From his elders, the medicine man learned that any
unusual pattern in our world always indicates that
something has changed in our reality. But, in this
instance, the shaman is not yet seeing the specific
element that has been added or taken away. In order to
see what element has changed, he lets go of how his
ego-mind "thinks" the world operates.
As a result of deciding to allow new possibilities
into his life—the 3rd key, the shaman sees the cause
of the peculiar patterns: the never-before-imagined
clipper ships! As soon as the shaman perceives the
large ships, he tells his tribe the ships exist and
points to exactly where they are. The rest of the
islanders are then able to perceive the vessels.
Where Are Those Darn Car Keys?
This remarkable true story resonates with me as I
recall comparable experiences in my life. There have
been times when I haven’t seen my car keys sitting on
a table—even though they were clearly visible.
The dynamics of my situation are similar to those of
the islanders who don’t see the ships because of their
limited belief system. At first, I don’t see my car
keys on the table. So, I decide the keys aren’t there.
Once I’ve decided the keys aren’t there, I’ve created
a belief that "my keys aren’t on the table." This
belief then filters out my ability to perceive the
keys sitting on the table in plain sight. Only when I
let go of the belief that "my key’s aren’t on the
table"—and decide to open to new possibilities—am I
able to perceive the keys!
Live Your Dreams!
What "extraordinary" possibilities have you already
decided don’t exist in your world? Have you quit
looking for that dream job? Seeking great health?
Searching for satisfying love? If you previously made
up your mind that you’ll never have a terrific job,
body or relationship, guess what … ?
Be Your Own Shaman
Become a shaman to discover the opportunities you
aren’t seeing in life. Use these 3 radical keys to
navigate onto a new, fun playground.
1st Key: Look for out-of-the-ordinary patterns in
life. "A disturbance in the force" indicates that
there’s an opportunity to see a solution or a course
of action you haven’t yet seen in the situation.
2nd Key: Don’t trust your mind! The suggestions of
your ego-mind are limited by what you’ve experienced
in the past and learned from your cultural
mythmakers—your teachers and media. The beliefs of
your mind filter out many advantageous choices and
options that are available in life.
3rd Key: Open to fresh possibilities. Invite the
unexpected. Allow exciting new options to appear "out
of nowhere!"
The island natives couldn’t see the Nina, Pinta and
Santa Maria clipper ships because the ships were
filtered out by the islanders’ limited belief system.
Why miss your boat because of the limited belief
system of your island? Hop on board! Sail into a new
world of fulfilled dreams!

When one is young, watching parents drinking one
alcoholic beverage after another, you think nothing of
doing it too. It becomes a part of your lifestyle,
until it starts weighing heavy on you. When it started
weighing heavy on me as an adult, I started to raise
my head above the numb and decided I didn’t want to
drink anymore. This decision was hard on my Dad…I no
longer stocked beer or hard liquor for his visits.
And, of course, (as my brother Anton says) I couldn’t
keep my mouth shut, so I became like a new
convert—overzealous, trying to get my parents to see
the evils of drinking. I waged this campaign for years
to no avail. I finally gave up about 16 years ago.
I decided at that time the only thing I could do was
to allow my parents their decisions and lifestyle. I
decided to accept and love them for who they were. I
came to this decision after the only screaming
argument I had ever had with my Mom. She essentially
told me to mind my own business. I also decided for my
own good, I could not stand by and watch them
deteriorate as I knew they would soon do. So, I moved
1200 miles away.
My Dad’s 81st birthday this year was no celebration.
As my sister Louise said, “ Dad is only a whisper of
what he used to be.” He was suffering from congestive
heart failure and his ailing kidneys demanded a
dramatic lifestyle change for him. With dialysis three
times a week and a debilitated, weakened body, he was
forced to stop driving and working. All freedom he had
known were no longer available to him. He said to me a
few months ago, “I wish I didn’t have to do dialysis”.
All I could say to him was “I wish you didn’t have to
do dialysis either, Daddy.”
On June 23, my Dad brought home a gold star and good
news. He was happy and proud to announce that his
kidneys were improving. Two days later, Friday, June
25th my brother Jess (who lives with my parents) got
up early and felt like something was amiss. Usually my
Dad would already be up getting ready to go to
dialysis. Jess opened my Dad’s bedroom door only to
find him struggling to get up, with a look of horror
on his face.
My Dad had suffered a massive stroke. He lost his
speech, ability to swallow and use of his right hand
and arm. He was in terror and did not know what was
happening to him.
In the hospital that first night, he suffered much
confusion and fright. I sent him Reiki long distance
all that night and talked to him. My spiritual family
and the spiritual communities of other family members
held him in prayer. After a few hours he relaxed and
calmed down. I talked to him throughout the night and
the whole next day. I asked him what he wanted to do.
He wasn’t sure, but he was curious about experimenting
with where he was in his subtle body.
He started leaving his physical body. I cautioned him
not to go out too far or for too long, especially
since he hadn’t decided whether to stay or go. He
loved that he longer had any pain. By Sunday morning,
24 hours later, he could no longer get back in his
body. My Mom was not about to let go of him. He felt
my Mom’s desperation and fear and asked me if I could
help him get back into his body. So, Kelley and I
supported him back. My son, Mom and brothers were
relieved. I wasn’t sure this was a great idea. I love
my Dad very much and his body was so very worn out.
Monday, July 5th, I woke up at about 1 a.m. with heavy
pressure in my chest and head. I checked in with my
Dad right away to see if he was ok. He wasn’t. He was
in an energy that was like a major lightning-thunder
storm. He was in terror again for the second time in
two weeks. He did not know what was happening.
I asked him if he was having another stroke. He said
he did not know. I started giving him Reiki long
distance and he calmed down. I continued sending him
Reiki and after about twenty minutes, I “lost” him. I
couldn’t find him. I kept calling him and he did not
respond. After about another 15 minutes, I found
myself in a very large auditorium like building. There
were a lot of folks there…hundreds.
I woke Kelley up and asked him to ask what was going
on with my Dad. Kel found out he was not having
another stroke or heart attack, but a nightmare, as I
suspected. My Dad went into so much terror with it,
that he decided being in body was way too hard for
him, so he left. His soul is no longer in his body.
His body, however, is still here.
I knew he was in that auditorium hiding from me
because he did not want to come back.I told him that
we all loved him very much and that it was ok for him
to leave. He still did not allow me to find him.
When I spoke with Mother-Father God the next morning,
they told me that when he left that “transition
station”, I would be able to speak to him again. They
also told me there was a partial soul-–a fragment of a
being- in my Father now…that more might come or not or
that that soul might leave. My Dad’s body is not a
premium because it is so debilitated and weak. Whoever
was there in his body now would not speak with me.
That was two weeks ago, I have since reconnected to my
Dad. He is now available and able to speak with me.
His body is still here and that is some comfort to my
Mother and son. What I know is that the body wants to
live and it will probably be here a bit longer.
Years ago when I would feel or think about my father
leaving, I felt like my heart was breaking apart. I
dreaded the thought of him leaving and how it might
feel to no longer have him on the earthplane…how I
would feel to not be able to pick up the phone and
talk to him. In the end, it didn’t matter that he
drank as much as he did; that he was an alcoholic.
All that mattered was that he is my Dad and I love him
very much.
I am grateful to have had him here for this long. I am
grateful for our last earthly talk the day before
Father’s Day. I am grateful that he was able to go to
a baseball game with two of his sons the week before
the stroke—he so loved that day. I am grateful to have
been able to converse with him beyond the veils during
his ordeal. It helped me a lot and I think it helped
him too. And I am grateful to be able to communicate
with him once again and any time I choose even though
he is no longer in body.
I am grateful for all the gifts My Dad gave to me in
his wisdom of our Mexican heritage. He taught me to be
proud of my ethnicity. He also taught me to love to
work; to be a productive world citizen. He shown
brightly as a Capricorn in his industry for his family
and his clients. He also taught me to think for myself
and to love life.
For this Father I am most grateful, Thank you Goddess.
Be gentle with him in his transition and next step.

”Against his will he dieth that hath not learned to
die. Learn to die and thou shalt learn to live, for
there shall none learn to live that hath not learned
to die.”
The Book of the Craft of Dying (circa 1500)
“He who lacketh discrimination, whose mind is unsteady
and whose heart is impure, never reacheth the goal,
but is born again and again. But he who hath
discrimination, whose mind is steady and whose heart
is pure, reacheth the goal and having reached it is
born no more.”
Katha Upanishad
The messages and teachings in The Tibetan Book of the
Dead are both profound and necessary for those who
choose to consciously experience the most from both
passages of living and dying. Indeed The Art of Dying
is just as important as The Art of Living, “of which
it is the complement and summation; that the future of
Being is dependent, perhaps entirely, upon a rightly
controlled death, as much as setting forth The Art of
Reincarnation.” “Rebirth being accepted as the most
essential law of nature affecting human life.”
This book is more than a treatise on dying; it is a
mystic manual for guidance thru the world of many
illusions and realms. It was written perhaps 1300
hundred years ago to teach wisdom to both the living
and dying and had been an oral tradition previously.
While it was written to be read to the dying in the
process of dying, it was also meant to be studied by
the living to be living more consciously and preparing
for conscious death.
The Buddhists saw dying as an initiation rite that
lasted about 49 days for the deceased. The goal during
that time frame was to cause “the Dreamer to awaken
into Reality…to free them from obscuration of both
karmic (lessons of consequence or compensation as
Emerson called it) and sangsaric (birth and death)
illusion. Each person’s after death experiences are
entirely dependent upon his or her own mental
content…there are no gods or demons, except as they
subscribe to them.” “As a man is taught, so he
believes.”
The Tibetan Book of The Dead is called the Bardo
Thodol in tibetan. It means “The Great Doctrine of
Liberation by Hearing and by Seeing.” The “Bardo” or
after death state literally means between two states
(the state between death and rebirth); therefore it is
the Intermediate, Transition or Twilight State.
There are three Bardo states. The first lasts about 3
½-4 days and is called Transitional State from the
Moment of Death. The second state which lasts about 14
days is called The Transitional State of the
Experiencing or Glimpsing of Reality. This second
state merges into the third state which is called The
Transitional State of (or while seeking) Rebirth.
“The passing from one Bardo to another is analogous to
the process of birth; the Knower wakes up out of one
swoon or trance state and then another, until the
Third Bardo ends. On his awakening in the Second
Bardo, there dawns upon him in symbolic visions, one
by one, the hallucinations created by the karmic
reflexes of actions done by him in the earthplane
body. What he has thought and what he has done become
objective, thought forms, having been consciously
visualized and allowed to take root and grow and
blossom and produce, now pass in a solemn and mighty
panorama, as the consciousness-content of his
personality.”
The book speaks to the absolute possibility of freeing
oneself from the Bardo and rebirth experience. Indeed
in the Vedas and Puranas this was the goal: to free
oneself from the sangsaric (birth/death) experience.
Enlightenment is more than possible. You can do it!
Enlightenment leads to Emancipation of the Soul.
“Training in yoga (control of the thinking processes)
so as to be able to concentrate the mind in an effort
to reach Right Knowledge is essential and such
training can best be had under a human guru or
teacher.”
Most of us are so disconnected from our natural power
that when it is presented to us, we scarcely are able
to look upon its wondrous brightness dead or alive. We
then foolishly fear it and in our fear-terror of it,
we develop a fondness for the dull energies which keep
us stuck in sangsara (birth and death).
The book compares many religions, philosophies,
psychologies, rituals and practices about death. It
also offers a variety of other books and treatises on
the subject of dying.Death can be a conscious choice.
This book can help you prepare, if this is your
choice.
The path to Enlightenment is also a choice and
requires dedication, discipline and willingness.

DANCING WITH DEATH THRU SENILITY INTO ETERNALITY by
Young Toni Delgado
We have been conditioned to believe that senility is a
frightful place because we believe it is the end of
our productivity as a being. We believe it is the
experience that precedes death and we are loathesome
to it. Senility can come to an individual at any time
in their lives. It does not just occur to the elderly.
It can happen in your thirties or younger.
What is important to know is that it absolutely can be
overcome! I have done it! Leonard Orr and Sondra Ray
and others have done it. Leonard says that senility is
the final exam of the human condition. That sounds and
feels right. You must however, have the tools and
psychological preparation to outlast it. Read my book
and learn how.
