July is the largest full moon of the year and it is dedicated to the guru within.
Traditionally, one stays up and chants the Lord's Name, while looking at the Full Moon.
Looking at the Full Moon is said to heal the subconscious.
It is an extremely auspicious and holy day. On this day the full moon was originally
dedicated as sacred to the memory of the great sage, Bhagavan Sri Vyasa. Sri Vyasa has
done unforgettable service to humanity for all times by editing the four Vedas, writing
the eighteen Puranas, the Mahabharata and the Srimad Bhagavata. We can only repay the deep
debt of gratitude we owe him, by constant study of his works and practice of his teachings
imparted for the regeneration of humanity in this iron age.

Insights and Inspirations
One of my favorite teachers pointed out that "awareness cannot exist with duality, and mind cannot exist without duality: awareness is non-dual, and mind is dual." As I've said many times, awareness is the first step in breathwork. And it may be the only step that is needed for healing and growth, enlightenment and liberation. There is no quicker or better way to awaken to who we really are than to simply step back a little and observe the mind. Find a way to create a little distance between you and your mind.
I see it as the process and practice of living upstream of your mind-being at cause rather than effect. Thoughts are creative, and left unchecked or unquestioned, can cause us to live in an illusionary bubble. Our personal mind-made realities can block us from the direct experience of ultimate divine reality. We need to raise the quality of our thoughts at every opportunity. We need to master our emotional mind, otherwise we will be victims or slaves to it. When our private personal thoughts are in perfect harmony with the divine universal mind ("as above so below"), we naturally experience freedom from suffering, and we live in heaven on earth.
A New Take on "Recovery."
I love shaking up people's minds. For the most part our thinking is so unconscious, so habitual, so repetitive, dysfunctional, disempowering and even destructive. During my recent trip to Russia and Kazakhstan , I was able to see how easy it is for us to fall back into old habits of negative, limiting, self-sabotaging thoughts, emotions and behaviors-even after the most profound transformational breathing experiences, and despite the most powerful awakenings to love, peace, joy, and freedom.
During spiritual breathing sessions or in the spiritual community that is created at a seminar or a training, a beautiful space of freedom and safety opens up within us and around us. In this space, our essence, our real true self is invited or allowed to emerge and express. It is as if a light within us is uncovered, and we are able to shine! Anyone who has done this work has seen it in the eyes of those who engage in the process. There is a natural ease, and a flow of love that can be witnessed and felt and shared.
Conscious breathing-spiritual breathing awakens us to our divine nature, we actually open up to life and love in a bigger, deeper, or higher level. And it is expressed in the way we live, and in all of our relationships. It may often be hard to describe or put into words, but it is an unarguable experience: our hearts and minds literally open and shine!
This happens because the moment to moment practice of awareness, relaxation and breathing burns through or dissolves the veil, the mask, the personality, the ego that covers over our spirit like a filter or a shell. The process clears away all the thoughts, feelings and sensations, and emotions that hide or dim our inner light, until. the process of "recovery" occurs. And we begin to take back on the same old thoughts and feelings, the same the old attitudes and habits that cover over the pure love and light within.
And so, I am coming out to state publicly that I am against recovery! Please don't recover after a session or seminar! Remain uncovered. Remain open and shining! This is a great challenge, because of the power of long held habits. And in a world hungry for light, it is easy to feel that you will be eaten alive, or swallowed up by what some would call the "forces of darkness." (I like to think it is merely unconsciousness.)
The only solution is to use every opportunity to strengthen our connection to the light within. Do it consciously with every breath. Don't allow mental, emotional, or physical stuff to trap or block all that light. Remain conscious and open to the infinite, and let your love and light flow. Seek out other lovers of life and beings of light. Shine your light, and support others in shining theirs.
Catch yourself whenever you default back into to the old programs and conditioning. Wake up again and again. Remember who you are when you are lost in thoughts, swimming in emotions or caught in sensations. Turn to your real true self whenever you are drawn into identifying with anything else. And gently remind others in your family, like-minded friends, circle or community to choose love and peace and joy. Oneness and wholeness, freedom and safety, and generosity of spirit are the only rules. Forgiving ourselves and each other again and again whenever we fall back and recover: this is the way to stay open to love and light, and to keep growing in peace and power.
One of the best descriptions breathwork that I've heard is "it's the art of cleaning and balancing your energy body." Conscious breathing is a way to find yourself, to return to your self. Breathe consciously whenever you get caught up in negative or limiting thoughts, feelings or behaviors. Doing twenty conscious connected breaths every day, or when something happens that makes you forget who you really are, is a good idea.
I love these lyrics to one of Keb Mo's songs:
You say you want to get over. What are you gonna do?
Watch the world go by in a corner all alone?
I know it's none of my business, but there's something I need to say.
If you can see you, the way I see you, you can start flying on your own.
Step aside and let your light shine.
Let your love show.
It's a short ride down a long road.
When the rain comes and the wind blows,
Let your light shine wherever you go.
This world is ready and waiting for you to break on through
It's time to recognize and realize you're the only one like you
Step on up, step into your greatness. Don't be afraid.
There's a place that you will rise up to.
No one else can do what you do.
Get out the way and let your light shine.
Let your love show.
It's a short ride down a long road
When the rain comes and the wind blows,
Let your light shine wherever you go!
And this one too:
Brother, I need to talk to you. This might sound strange.
And you'll probably think I'm crazy and I've lost my mind.
OK. I'm amazing! I'm incredible!
I'm a miracle, a dream come true!
And I'm marvelous! I'm beautiful!
And guess what? So are you!
People, it's becoming clear. I can feel it down in my soul
I know that I am you, and you are me. Oh! Oh!
And I'm grateful for the simple things that we take for granted every day.
Listen: I can walk I can talk. I can use my mind.
OK! And I'm amazing! I'm incredible!
I'm a miracle, a dream come true!
I'm marvelous! I'm beautiful!
And guess what? So are you!
That don't mean we're better than anyone or anything.
It's a call to come together and accept responsibility.
And be amazing, incredible!
Be a miracle, a dream come true!
I'm marvelous! I'm beautiful!
Guess what? So are you!
Guess what? So are you!
That's right. So are you!
Poignant, tragic, funny, outrageousmost of us have at least one story we tell (and retell)
to explain our emotional bruises. But there's a big difference between understanding the past
and being stuck in it.
Self-pity, a dominant characteristic of sociopaths, is also the characteristic that
differentiates heroic storytelling from psychological rumination. When you talk about
your experiences to shed light, you may feel wrenching pain, grief, anger, or shame.
Your audience may pity you, but not because you want them to. Obsessing aloud, on the
other hand, is a way of fishing for pity, a means of extorting attention. Healthy people
instinctively resist this strategy. When you grieve, they will yearn to comfort you. When
you demand pity, they will yearn to smack you.
All day I've been telling stories to evoke my own pity, and it's working. Partly. The
unhealthy part of me, the world-class codependent, is just mesmerized. "Oh," she cries,
"you poor darling! Tell me that sad story againthe first 400 times didn't do it justice!"
The healthy part of me finds this annoying: "Oh, for God's sake," she says, rolling her eyes.
"Could we please stop the drama and get on with our life?"
The healthy part of me is such a heartless bitch.
On the other hand, she's got a point. Compulsively examining my stories never works for
me. I keep sinking into sorrow (self-inflicted though it is) until it occurs to me that
I will drown unless I can drag myself out. This can be difficult, but after decades of
practice, I've created a sort of verbal tree limb I can grab in a pinch: Am I presently
learning the truth about my life's work? If this sentence sounds a little vague, that's
because it's actually a mnemonic code. Each phrase reminds me of a concept that helps me
escape the marsh: being present, learning continuously, seeking truth, and committing my
energy to my real life's work.

Become Present
I just met with a client I'll call Kristin, an energetic self-pitier. We were discussing
her desire for a promotion when her gaze dropped and her voice took on a timbre both
sorrowful and weirdly practiced, as though she were reciting a very depressing Pledge of
Allegiance.
"You know," Kristin said, her eyes welling up, "my mother never let me talk back to her,
never really listened to me." Her chest began to heave. "My therapist says she may as well
have been deaf." She dissolved into tears.
"Oh," I said. "So, are you going to ask for that promotion?"
"She never listened!" Kristin repeated, sobbing, her hand on her neck. "My astrologer says
it totally blocked my throat chakra!"
"Kristin," I said, "Look at me, please."
She didn't want to. I insisted. "How many fingers am I holding up?" Reluctantly, like a dog
dropping a stolen ham, Kristin raised her eyes and looked. "Three," she said. Her tears dried
up. She seemed disappointed. The story-fondling thing had been going so well. "Kristin,
can you see that your mother isn't here? Can you hear that you are able to speak? You're
a full-grown woman, with a functioning larynx, who wants a promotion. Full stop."
I call this anchoring, establishing a simple, physical, factual connection with present
reality. Try it for yourself, right now. Look around you. Listen. Touch your hair, the
floor, this page. Whatever happened 10 years ago, whatever happened ten minutes ago, is
not your present concern. Neither is what will happen in another ten years, another ten
minutes. This moment is all you have to worry about. Narrowing your attention to this point
is your reconnection with solid ground.

Never Stop Learning
Getting bogged down in old stories stops the flow of learning by censoring our perceptions,
making us functionally deaf and blind to new information. Once the replay button gets pushed,
we no longer form new ideas or conclusionsthe old ones are so cozy. But becoming present
puts us back in reality, where we can rigorously fact-check our own tales.
Try dredging up one of your favorite storiesmaybe a classic like "I'm not good enough."
Treat it as a hypothesis. Research it. Is there any evidence that contradicts it? Have you
ever, in any way, even for an instant, been good enough? You may need to ask someone for
coaching at first. Evidence that contradicts your hypothesis will be hard for you to see,
while to an objective observer, it's obvious ("Well, you're good enough for me, your dog,
and everyone down at the bingo hall, you dumb cluck"). However you get to it, the moment
you absorb a fact that disproves your hypothesis, you're half out of the mire.
.

Insist on the Truth
Whatever terrible things may have happened to you, only one thing allows them to damage
your core self, and that is continued belief in them. Kristin's mother may have been
Stalin in a bra, but by the time Kristin got to my office, what was silencing her was
the conviction she'd formed during interactions with Mom: "It's no good to speak up; no
one will ever hear me."
Kristin couldn't redo her past, but she could change that belief. In fact, the loop she
replayed in her head was the one thing standing in her way, since evidence disconfirming
her hypothesis was everywhere. Lots of people listened to Kristin. Once she acknowledged
that, she couldn't be a tiny victim, waiting haplessly for her chakras to open. She was
just a woman with a scary job to do. I know how much this realization bummed her out; it
always bums me out. But then, it's also the doorway to freedom.

Put All Your Energy into Your Life's Work
The moment you lift your gaze from your old stories, you'll see your life's work. I don't
mean a gilt-edged proclamation from God, describing every step you are to take for the rest
of your existence. I mean the next step, which is usually very small: Ask for the promotion.
Pick up the kids. Take a nap. Then take the step that comes after that.
From time to time, as you continue along, a Big Dream will coalesce out of the swamp fog.
The way forward is to shake the quicksand off your feet and take one small step toward
that dream. Trust me, it will be all you can do. Taking things step-by-step means working
working hard, working scared, working through confusion and embarrassment and failure. I've
met many people the world thinks of as "lucky," and all of them operate this way. I've come
to think that the main purpose of rumination is work avoidance. Dwelling endlessly on the
past keeps us from the wild, exhausting, terrifying tasks that create our right lives.
When I become a little more ruthless with myself and a lot more present in what I have to do,
I see that writing a humble column is my next stepand I have writer's block. I'd love to
enter therapy and figure out why, but I don't have that kind of time. Instead, I'll focus
on a saying from the Ojibwa tradition, one that deserves the attention I customarily lavish
on my problems: Sometimes I go about pitying myself, and all the while I am being carried on
great winds across the sky.
Ownership is a responsibility issue, not a title of purchase. No amount
of $$ can give you true title to that which you have not loved. That is the
Law of Allotment. Whatever you have purchased with money, service, duty or
obligation
but have no love for
will actually own you. Until eventually one
or more forces of the Universe will rip it from your hands and mercifully
set you free.

Love without End
Jesus Speaks, 10th edition by Glenda Green p.48
I received this Abraham-Hicks quote this morning. I thought it was interesting so I
thought I would pass it along.
Guest: As I'm aging, I just notice my body is not as resilient as it was when I
was 20 and...
Abe: Why not? That's odd.
Guest: Yeah, I guess that's my question. Does there have to be a natural aging process?
Abe: Aging, yes, because you're moving through time. Declining, no - that's a mental state.
Guest: Yeah.
Abe: But what happens is, because most everybody you know is looking at manifestations
RATHER THAN LOOKING AT ENERGY AND COMING TO CONCLUSIONS BASED ON ENERGY.
In other words, if you could see a declining person and you could understand the conflicts
that have been going on in them all of their life, then you would understand the decline
of their body. And then you would be able to make the association.
And you would not necessarily attach the same thing to yourself.
But because you make no association between WHAT THEY'RE THINKING and FEELING and
WHAT'S HAPPENING TO THEM, then you assume this is just what happens.
And we want to say to you, this is not just what happens.
This is just what happens when people BELIEVE that there is decline with age.
Guest: Mmm-hmm. Like, a specific example, I used to run a lot and now when I run, my
left hip hurts. And I would like to be able to run, but it's just, it's uncomfortable to run.
Abe: What you are saying to us is you think that your left hip began to hurt and then
you noticed it. And HAD A VIBRATIONAL RESPONSE to it.
And what we're saying to you is, you had a vibrational response TO THE SOCIETY THAT
BELIEVES IN DECLINE.
And therefore are living the self-fulfilled prophecy of what you expected.
Guest: Right.
Abe: And so the question that really is before us is: "How can I expect differently than
everybody else?"
And we say, try to think more singularly. And try not to base your conclusions on the
manifestations that you're watching.
Instead, base your conclusions on the ENERGY THAT YOU ARE WATCHING.
"The fact of it is that this many people get such and such." And we say, "Well, what does
that have to do with you?"
And they say, "Well, 1 in 5 has it and I might be the one."
And we say, but why are you letting the way somebody else flowed energy - which created
what they are living.
Why are you now using that as the club to beat yourself over the head with?
And we say, we know there's reasoning in there somewhere, but it feels quite unreasonable
to us. And that's why we're playing with you a little bit when we say... "Why?"...when
you talk about decline.
....In other words, you have issues you've picked up along your physical trail. You're
taking life rather seriously, you see. We like it when you take life seriously because
it's a wonderful thing to FOCUS.
But we would also like you to lighten up a little bit and relax.
And have more fun in more moments.
And realize that all is well.
Because that is the only thing that is taking the toll on your body.
From the person who sent this:
What I got most from this Abraham quote was is that we spend so much time focusing on
the manifestation instead of how are we flowing our energy. Then we can be at cause
instead of always focusing just on the effect. Even though it's a great post, since
attending the Matrix seminar, for me, the Abraham material lives in the world of duality.
I studied them for about 13 years but now find there is so much more being in the heart
space. I know others probably disagree, but I have to go with what I feel is best for
me. I still enjoy some of their info, though.
So with Matrix Energetics it doesn't matter what the cause is or why.
And now a word from the M.D. on AGING
Gray hair, according to new findings, is caused by a massive build up of hydrogen
peroxide due to wear and tear on hair follicles. The peroxide winds up blocking
the normal synthesis of melanin, your hair's natural pigment.
All hair cells make a tiny bit of hydrogen peroxide, but as you age, the amount
increases. Essentially, you bleach our hair pigment from within, and your hair
turns gray and then white.
Researchers made this discovery by examining cell cultures of human hair follicles.
They found that the build up of hydrogen peroxide was caused by a reduction of an
enzyme that breaks up hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen.
They also discovered that hair follicles could not repair the damage caused by the
hydrogen peroxide because of low levels of the enzymes MSR A and B, which normally
serve this function. The high levels of hydrogen peroxide and low levels of these
enzymes also disrupt the formation of tyrosinase, another enzyme that leads to the
production of melanin in hair follicles.

WHAT DR. MERCOLA HAS TO SAY ABOUT THIS:
Whether we admit it or not, the color of your hair seems to communicate something
about yourself to the world.
Now researchers are finally starting to unravel what your color says about whats
going on inside your body, which might lead to new strategies for prevention or reversal
of the hair graying process.
Why Your Hair Turns Gray
There have been a number of studies into what causes the graying of your hair as you age.
As you likely know, your hair grows from follicles in your skin. These follicles are pit-
like structures that contain layers of cells that perform different functions. At the base
of the follicle is the hair bulb, from which your actual hair grows.
The color of your hair is determined by a protein called melanin. There are two kinds of
melanin: eumelanin colors your hair brown to black, and pheomelanin turns it yellow-blond
to red. The levels of each of these two kinds of melanin will determine the color and
shade of your hair.
The cells in your hair follicles that create melanin are called melanocytes. When your hair
turns gray, the melanocytes have stopped creating melanin.
This recent study found that the increased production and build up of hydrogen peroxide
in your hair follicles as you age blocks this natural synthesis of melanin, and hence
you start going gray.
But although theyve seemingly been able to pinpoint the enzymes responsible for this
chain of events, they have not necessarily discovered the real underlying cause.
Heredity likely plays a part, as some studies have shown. The New York Times article
states that whites tend to gray the earliest, often as early as in their mid-30s,
followed by Asians and then Africans. About half of all people over the age of 50 are
at least 50 percent gray.
But other research may be on to something to explain the process of why you go gray as well.
Work done by scientists from the Harvard Medical School and the Hokkaido University
Graduate School of Medicine in Japan has revealed that stem cells may be a major
player involved in the process, which Ill discuss a little later.
WARNING -- Trying to Maintain Your Hair Color with Dyes May Damage Your Health
Theres no doubt gray hair is an issue of some importance to many people, judging by
the popularity of hair dyes on the market. However, many of these products contain an
astounding array of potentially toxic chemicals. (The FDA does not regulate hair dye
ingredients, whether theyre synthetic or natural.)
For example, The Environmental Working Group found that 69 percent of hair-dye products
tested for their Skin Deep database may pose cancer risks!
Some are worse than others.
For example, between the two leading mens hair color brands, Grecian Formula has a max
hazard score, whereas Just For Men scored slightly lower, falling in the moderate hazard
range. For more information about some of the hazardous ingredients in hair dyes, and
their potential ramifications to your health, please review this previous article.
Many are now starting to dye their hair in their teens, but if your son or daughter is
thinking about switching color, it may be wise to consider some of the potential long
term risks.
One 1994 National Cancer Institute report states dark dyes used over long periods of time
appear to raise your risk of cancers such as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and multiple myeloma.
And a 2001 International Journal of Cancer study found that people who use permanent hair
dye are twice as likely to develop bladder cancer as those who keep their hair au natural.
There are ways to limit your exposure of course, while still giving your hair some added
pizzazz. Many professional salons now work with formulas that are ammonia-free, herbal-
based, low-PPD, and dyes that are lead-, toluene- and coal tar-free.
Refraining from all-over dye jobs and getting highlights or lowlights instead is also
safer, as the dye is not placed in contact with your scalp.
Or, you could just accept what nature has given you, which would be the safest option, at
least for the time being.
Is Stem Cell Stimulation Therapy the New Answer to Avoid Gray Hair?
I believe adult stem cell therapy may be the wave of the future as there seems to be no
limit to their applications, whether it be something as complex as regrowing organs or
using them for the more mundane purpose of keeping a full head of healthy hair in its
original color.
If youre not familiar with the basic tenets of this fascinating field of science and
medicine, this link to the National Institutes of Health provides great basic information
about stem cells.
As it turns out, melanocytes -- those special cells that make melanin -- come from stem
cells. Halfway up your hair follicle, above the bulb, there is a pocket that houses
melanocyte stem cells. These stem cells turn into melanocytes when old melanocytes die off.
However, as you get older, your stem cells diminish in quality and quantity. Likewise,
the stem cells in your hair follicles decrease over time, and eventually no new melanocytes
are produced and hence melanin synthesis stops, and your hair turns gray.
So the idea is that by stimulating the stem cells with special polypeptide signals you
may be able to reverse this process and keep both your hair color, and your hair. Im
actually beta testing one of these polypeptide signal topical therapies right now, and
my hair is slowly starting to come back in, so its pretty exciting stuff and most of
the gray is disappearing. I look forward to giving you further updates on that product
later on.
Interestingly enough, there is some evidence from recent animal studies indicating that
physical exercise can reverse the age-related decline in the production of neural stem
cells by restoring a brain chemical that promotes the production and maturation of new
stem cells. Yet another reason to start or stick to a regular exercise routine!

Beloveds,
We all have memorized and been entrained to believe we will get old, sick and
die when we reach the age that our parents, grandparents, friends and relatives
did this very thing. If we do not question what they did, if we do not realize
that we can make different choices, then guess what? We will follow suite. And
this is very fine--if we choose this as a conscious decision and process. It is
not so very fine, if we believe this is just the way of things, that we have no
choice and we are just waiting in dread of the grim reaper to descend into our
midst. This is not conscious nor quality living.
Be willing to take a long look at what your beliefs are around aging and dying,
and then be willing to seek out options. Physical Immortality may not be for you
if you do not understand or recognize that being physically immortal is Choosing
To Be Fully Alive in Every Moment and then living your life moment to moment making
choices from this decision.
This decision to be fully alive in every moment means abandoning the idea that you are
aging and getting weaker and debilitated and waiting for death. It means giving up
everything you have memorized from your relations and choosing a different style of
living
and living passionately.
Feel in your body how you want to consciously live and transition, then take action
on your decision.
